Your next favourite ground starts with the right questions.
From playing surfaces to travel time, a practical checklist for finding a venue your whole group will enjoy.
Start with the game you actually want to play.
A relaxed evening with friends and a competitive practice session can need very different spaces. Decide on your sport, group size and the kind of session you want before comparing venues. If the venue has several courts, check the description of the specific court you are booking.
Make the journey part of the decision.
A ground that works for everyone is more useful than one that looks great but is hard for half the group to reach. Compare the address with your usual meeting points. Ask your group to check their journey and allow time to arrive before the slot begins.
Read the details, not just the photos.
Photos help you understand the space, but the venue description and amenities tell you more about the experience. Look for the facilities your group needs, and ask support about anything that is not listed. Do not assume equipment, parking or changing rooms are included.
Check the actual slot price.
A listed hourly price is a useful starting point. The amount for a particular date or time can be different. Select the court and date, review the available slots and check the final checkout amount before paying. If you choose a part payment, make sure you understand the outstanding balance.
Leave a useful review after your visit.
Tell the next group what helped you make the most of the venue. Clear comments about the playing experience and facilities are more helpful than a rating alone. Keep feedback specific to your own visit.
